Farm Chick Favorites

Here's a few more pic from Farm Chicks. There are so many wonderful booths and displays. But it's such a great sale, that we don't have much time to get out of our booth.

We loved Lisa Souers new silo! I love how her jewelry looks hanging around the edge.

This was an awesome booth.

Vintage Market always does a great job...love their booth!

I don't know what I would do with this, but I LOVE IT! Funky Junk Jen's booth was sooo cool!

Thanks for a great show Serena! We just love being part of your amazing show!

We are having a special Farm Chicks promotion on our website this weekend so we'll keep the giveaway open through the first of next week so be sure and leave a comment to enter.

Farm Chick Fabulous Sites

What a Fabulous day at Farm Chicks! We loved visiting with returning and new customers all day...definitely one of our favorite things about doing shows! It's like old friends coming together again which help makes this show such a special one. It's almost a festival atmosphere with attendees and vendors dressing in their fun and fancy from boots to ruffles! Here are a few of our favorites today:

We love these customers and their darling apron! Thanks for shopping with us ladies!

What a little cutie!

This little guys was zipping around the show in his vintage scooter.

We also love the over the top displays! Here are just a few....more to come latter. (we were so busy today I didn't get many photos taken)

These ladies are our neighbors...what a cool booth!

We've enjoyed getting to know these vendors from Today's Country Store. Their booth is to die for!

We'll be packing and loading tomorrow night and traveling home on Monday so we'll try to squeeze blogging in when we can. Stay tuned for our GIVEAWAY DETAILS. Leaving a comment or following us will automatically enter you in our contest. You might be the winner!

Farm Chicks Set Up Day

We arrived at the Fairground bright and early and excited to get the truck unloaded and start setting up our booth. It' so fun to see the transformation happen! It goes from this....

to this...a pile of product and props! The presorting that we did last week sure helps us get things unloaded in the general area that they go. It's organized chaos!

Slowly over the course of the day, our displays start to take shape! So the piles of tubs and props turns into this:

Our Vintage Laundry Display( with our old Bloomer aprons hanging overhead so everyone can find us!)

Our Rustic Garden Display

Couldn't resist snapping a few pics in the parking lot! It's so fun to see what the other vendors bring! We are so excited for the show tomorrow and wish everyone a great show! Come by and see us!

ANNOUNCING OUR ANNUAL FARM CHICKS GIVEAWAY! We have picked a great prize and will be posting it here soon. So in the mean time, leave us a comment, Google Follow and Facebook Follows are each good for one entree. The contest will run for a while and you can enter multiple time! All the details will be posted soon. Thanks for stopping by!

Portland Expo Antique Show

This coming weekend, you can see the great new things We’ve found since the last time we met. We’ll be at the Portland Expo on July 10th & 11th for the big Palmer/Wirfs show. You can locate our booth outside straight down the isle from the statue located between buildings D & E.

This show is the largest Antique & Collectible Show in the country with 1,400 booths both inside and out. We've been a vendor here for 5 years!

In addition to offering more vintage items for sale than any other show, there are several exhibits that you may enjoy: In the outside selling area, there is a collection of Tear Drop Trailers, those adorable ‘40’s era camping trailers.
Evaluations and identifications are offered all weekend in the Hall E lobby. The show’s experts will examine your item and give you a verbal market evaluation for $5.00 per object, which all proceeds going to the Portland Police’s Food Bank, The Sunshine Division. And lastly, for several hours each day, live bluegrass music will played out on the plaza between Halls E and D.

The hours on Saturday are 9am to 6pm and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. The Expo is located in Portland, Oregon and to get there take exit 306B off I-5 north or south. Adult admission is $7.00 for Saturday and is good for both days. If you wish to come as an Early Admission buyer, that cost is $30 and you are admitted during exhibitor set-up on Friday, the 9th. Outside exhibitors start setting up at 8am and the inside opens at 9am.
Parking at the Expo is $7.00 or at Portland Meadows Horse Race Track for $5.00 (Shuttle provided).

There is food and beverage available but bring your favorite walking shoes. This is a show worth spending some time at. You never know what treasure you’ll end up taking home with you!
See you at the show!

Work Should Always Be This Fun!

Work should always be this fun! Fortunately, I am blessed to love what I do! Owning Forget Me Not Dreams, our own website is BLAST! But another joy in my life is working with some of my fellow show owners and friends. I love working at their shows....all the fun without the responsibility that comes with running my own show! The past coupe of days I have been working on displays at one of our local craft and antique shows called Brookhaven. This is a boutique style show where all vendor products are mixed together and displayed in themed areas…similar to a gift shop. I love doing display work, especially in this mixed format. Combining vintage, handmade and painted furniture into wonderful vignettes is right up my alley! The style of this particular show is fun because the owner Lynette Covert is a master at combining colors and themes in a fresh and unique way.

The entre way is bright and inviting with a punch of Pear green added to a Paris Chic section.

This Estate Garden area was a blast to display and definitely made me anxious for spring! You can find some of these wonderful yard art pieces in our Cottage Garden section on our site.

Living in the Northwest, the beach look is always in. Turquoise takes this section from drab to fab and gives it a fun twist on the theme. Bellow is a cute yellow and blue area with tons of wonderful vintage and new textiles. So cute!

Of course my favorite is always the Cottage section. I could spend hours looking at the vintage china, handmade pillows and textile crafts. I couldn’t resist a bit of shopping before I left today….having first pick is another perk of helping display for shows!
Brookhaven opens March 12th and runs through March 16th. Here is a link to her site if any of you are close enough to stop by and shop! This certainly get’s me in the mood for my own show in the fall! Check our archives and you can see some pics from our 2007 shows. Time to start planning our fall shows for 2008…yes!
